Median MCP Server

The Median MCP server connects AI assistants to Median App Studio using the Model Context Protocol. Once connected, your assistant can manage your apps on your behalf, for example:

Server URL

https://mcp.median.co/mcp

The server uses the Streamable HTTP transport and OAuth. When you add it, your client opens a browser window to sign in to your Median account. You do not need an API key.

Account access
The assistant acts as your Median account. It can see and change every app you have access to, including apps in your organizations. Changes are saved to your apps the same way as edits made in App Studio.

Add the server to your client

Run:

claude mcp add --transport http median https://mcp.median.co/mcp

Then start Claude Code, run /mcp, select median and choose Authenticate.

Add to ~/.cursor/mcp.json (or .cursor/mcp.json in your project):

Open Cursor Settings → MCP and click Connect next to median to sign in.

Click Start above the server entry and sign in when prompted. The tools are available in Copilot Chat agent mode.

Refresh the MCP servers list in Cascade and sign in when prompted.

Available tools

Area	What the assistant can do
Account	Look up your user and organizations
Apps	List, view, create and clone apps
Navigation	Read and update the top navigation bar, tab bar and sidebar menu
Branding	Read and update colors, icons, splash screen and status bar
Link handling	Read and update link rules, deep links and URL schemes
Plugins	Browse the plugin catalog and enable or disable plugins on an app
Builds	Start iOS and Android builds, check build status and get a link to the build page in App Studio

Uploading files such as icons and downloading build files are done in App Studio. The assistant gives you a link to the right page.

Test the connection

Start a new chat and ask "List my Median apps". If the assistant returns your apps, the server is connected. If it can't find the tools, check that the server is enabled in your client and that you completed the sign-in.
