Language Support Overview

By default your user's default device language will be set within your app for all web content which will then display in the corresponding language in the same manner it is displayed in a regular browser, i.e. if there is an Accept-Language header present. The native UI components in the native app layer have been localized to various languages as contributed by customers. The languages you wish to support in your app must be enabled in the App Studio prior to building your app.

Web Content Localization

By default your user's default device language will be set within your app. Your web content will then display in the corresponding language in the same manner it will be displayed in a regular browser, i.e. if there is an Accept-Language header present. This will function for any standard language code without limitation.

Native UI Component Localization

Median localizes the native strings rendered by the native app, i.e. the components of your app outside the webview. These are the buttons used in native dialogs (OK, Cancel, Done, View, Menu) and action-sheet options shown when a user long-presses a link (Open link in external browser, Copy link address, Share link).

To enable these translations, select the languages you want to include under Interface → Localization in the App Studio. The following languages are currently available:

If your desired language is not listed, or if you spot a missing or incorrect translation above, post in our discussion forum and provide the corresponding strings. Our team will add or update the translations and note the update in our Release Notes.
