Universal Links open the iOS app but Median does not pass the deep-link URL
Hi, I need help with an iOS Universal Links issue that appears to be on the Median side.
The Universal Link association itself is working correctly: if I share a Data link through WhatsApp and tap it, iOS opens the native app.
The problem is that it does not open the content that was shared.
Example:
I share:
https://buenadataar.com/lugar/
-
Website URL: https://buenadataar.com
-
Universal Links domain: buenadataar.com
-
“All pages on my domain” = Internal
-
Associated Domains enabled in Apple Developer
-
Valid AASA file publicly available
-
Use NPM Package enabled
-
median-js-bridge installed
-
Median.jsNavigation.url.addListener(...) registered successfully
-
Median.isNativeApp() returns true
I also added an in-app diagnostic panel.
On a cold start, after tapping:
https://buenadataar.com/lugar/
the app opens, but the web layer initially receives:
https://buenadataar.com/
with pathname: /
Then the normal app behavior redirects / to /home.
So the deep-link path (/lugar/) never reaches the web app.
When the app is already open or in the background, the Median.jsNavigation.url listener is registered, but it also does not receive the incoming URL.
The website itself does not redirect /lugar/to /, so this does not appear to be caused by the web app. I have also found other Median forum posts describing similar behavior, but I could not find a clear resolution.
I’m preparing to launch the app and this is blocking shared links from opening the correct content.
Is this a known Median issue, or is there an additional Median/App Studio configuration required so that tapping a Universal Link opens the exact shared path instead of the Home page?
Thanks!!
