Urgency

(edited)

Hello,

I need urgent support with the Davidson Press Android app.

The backend push system is now confirmed working. OneSignal accepts the REST API request and the backend is correctly targeting Subscribed Users, not a single device.

However, only one device has registered in OneSignal. Other Android devices, including Samsung/tablet installs running the latest production build, are not receiving app notifications and may not be registering at all.

Please urgently verify the native Android build:

  1. "POST_NOTIFICATIONS" is included in the AndroidManifest.
  2. The OneSignal SDK is initialising on app launch.
  3. The OneSignal App ID is correctly compiled into the app:
    "[REDACTED]"
  4. Firebase/FCM is correctly compiled into the AAB.
  5. Android notification channels are created correctly, including Samsung devices.
  6. The app version code/name is incrementing correctly, as the app still shows Version 1.0.0.
  7. Existing installs are able to register after update, not only after a fresh install.

Please confirm whether each installed Android device should appear under OneSignal Audience/Subscriptions after opening the app, and whether users must uninstall/reinstall to force registration.

This is urgent because web push is working, but native Android app notifications are still not reliably reaching users.

Regards,
John Davidson
